Acis autumnalis var oporantha |
|
-Exquisite bulb bearing small white bell shaped flowers with yellow stamens. Plants sometimes flower without leaves. Summer aestivation.
-Ideal in rockery or alpine garden, can be pan grown.
-Flowers late summer. Height 6"/15cm, will spread to provide large clumps.
-Best in partial shade, but it tolerates sun in our garden.
- This plant used to be classified in genus Leucojum, but is now in Acis.
- Our plant was originally sourced as A.a. var. oporantha, although this is no longer considered to be a separate variety.
- It is smaller than the plant we grow as Acis autumnalis and the base of the petals is flushed deep pink.
